An effective job or internship search requires a multi-layered approach. Discover traditional and unique ways to identify job opportunities. Hear more about how and when to begin applying for positions. Learn how to network effectively, make key industry contacts, and utilize those contacts to uncover the "hidden job market".

| 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM | McGhee Prior Learning Assessment Information Session In the Prior Learning Assessment Information Sessions, attendees learn the four ways that McGhee students may earn credit for their prior college-level learning. Topics covered will include foreign language proficiency, standardized testing (CLEP/Excelsior College/Advanced Placement exams), transfer credits, and credits earned through the portfolio process in McGhee's Seminar in Experiential Learning (attending this information session is a prerequisite for entering the seminar). The main focus of the assessment will be the prior college-level learning that adults have earned before returning to or starting college. Students will also be given the opportunity to ask questions related to individual academic circumstances.
The session will be held at 7. East 12th Street (between University Place and Fifth Avenue) in conference room 331.
