Join the CGA in collaboration with the Quebec Government Office in New York City for a two-part event to assess the geopolitical, energy, environmental, and social implications of new exploration and development north of the 49th parallel.
Ecomonic Development and Sustainable Livelihoods
Panelists will weigh the potential economic benefits against the challenges of protecting ecosystems, sustainable livelihoods and traditional ways of life, including an examination of how partnerships between native and non-native communities in the North might encourage development while preserving aboriginal traditions and protecting fragile ecosystems.
