| 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM | McGhee Psychology Club Hosts Lecture, Discussion on Stress Disorders
Journalist Rita Cosby will discuss her new book, “Quiet Hero: Secrets From My Father’s Past,” in conjunction with a lecture and discussion on stress disorders, especially post-traumatic stress disorder. This event, hosted by the Paul McGhee Psychology Club, will also feature Dr. Robert Cancro, special guest chairman emeritus of the NYU Dept. of Psychiatry and director of the International Committee Against Mental Illness (ICAMI).
Cosby’s “Quiet Hero” recounts her relationship with her father and her discovery of his past as a teenager in Poland’s Nazi resistance. Cosby, a three-time Emmy award winner, is a veteran TV news anchor and senior correspondent who most recently worked at MSNBC. A book sale and signing will follow the lecture. Attendance is free, but space will be limited. The event is co-sponsored by the SCPS Undergraduate Student Council.

Forum Goals:
• To facilitate in-depth dialog about the practical experience of microfinance program management along with the challenges and broader implications of the value of social impact. • To highlight members of the microfinance community. • To build collaborative partnerships between CGA students, faculty, and practitioners interested in the field of microfinance and development.
Format:
6:00-7:00: Practitioners from the field lead workshops with CGA students, faculty and the broader NYU microfinance community about challenges and solutions in program management, focusing on issues such as monitoring and evaluation
7:00-8:00: Moderated panel discussion on the value of social Impact monitoring and evaluation in microfinance
This event is free and open to the public.
