Kingsborough CC SUNY/Private College Transfer Day

Join us at the Kingsborough CC SUNY/Private College Transfer Day in Brooklyn, NY! The NYU School of Professional Studies Undergraduate Degree Completion Programs delivers 9 Bachelors degrees with diverse majors and concentrations that provide in-depth professional training. Each program offers conveniently scheduled courses, credit for prior learning and seamless transfer policies. Students enrolled in NYUSPS Undergraduate Degree Completion Programs receive one-on-one advising and individualized support from the time they are accepted until they graduate. Come meet one of our Admissions Officers to learn more about our undergraduate degrees and get answers to your questions about our application process.

This fair will take place at Kingsborough Community College, Brooklyn, NY.
The George Sideris Honors & Scholars Symposium 2016

NYU Event Space

The George Sideris Honors and Scholars Symposium is an annual event which highlights the achievements of McGhee students who have received scholarships, awards, honors or who have demonstrated excellence in their fields.

This year the Symposium will be held on Thursday, March 24, at 6:00 PM, at the SPS building at 7 East 12th Street in the 5th floor lounge.

Speakers include:

Britton Burdick, McGhee 2015 Social Sciences
Presentation: "Genocide by Democracy: the Perils of Multilateralism in Humanitarian Intervention"

Maria Noland, Social Sciences
Presentation: "The Pursuit of Habitus: A Bourdieusian Analysis of NYC's French Dual Language Programs"

Katherine Tangney, Social Sciences
Presentation: "Where are all the boats?: Fishing, Identity and Sense of Place in Norway's Fishery Capital"

The event has been named in honor of Dr. George Sideris, one of McGhee’s most outstanding and dedicated professors, who through his own personal initiative organized seminars for students to present their work during the 1990’s and the early 2000’s. Dr. Sideris taught at McGhee from 1980 until his passing in 2007.
