| 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM | SCPS Reading Group BookEnds Discusses Themes of Religion and National Identity To what extent does religion define national or other forms of identity? The SCPS reading group BookEnds will explore this question and many more through the book “Greece: A Jewish History” at its February 3rd meeting. This book was chosen for discussion by this season’s student curator Susan Berishaj. She also enlisted its author NYU Professor K.E. Fleming, a multiple award winning writer who teaches at the Center for Mediterranean and European Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences, to join the discussion. The book can be purchased at www.press.princeton.edu or through other booksellers. The SCPS Student Council will provide refreshments. For more information about this event, contact Adjunct Instructor Michael Collins at mpc3@nyu.edu. |
