The NYU School of Professional Studies Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies integrate the liberal arts and professional studies, providing a comprehensive undergraduate education that is highly valued in competitive job markets. 

NYUSPS offers a wide range of study options in the Humanities and in the Social Sciences that include numerous concentrations from which to choose. A new option in Applied Data Analytics and Visualization focuses on the most current and relevant topics in a dynamic field with a wide spectrum of employment opportunities. Programs also are offered in Applied General Studies; Digital Communications and Media; Healthcare Management; Information Systems Management; Leadership and Management Studies; Marketing Analytics; and Real Estate.   
 
For those who are interested in pursuing an associate's degree, we offer the AA in Liberal Arts, the AAS in Business, the AAS in Health Administration, and the AAS in Information Systems Management.

Across industries, the demand for professional writers has never been higher. To meet this growing need, the NYU School of Professional Studies offers the MS in Professional Writing. Delivered fully online, the program prepares you to be a powerful writer with the knowledge and skills to shape traditional and digital documentation. Throughout a course of study that accommodates your schedule, you learn to combine excellence in writing with effective communication strategies.

Program Features:
- 36 credits, available in full-time or part-time study
- Fully online program, offering maximum location flexibility
- Electives in a variety of specialized writing areas, such as Science and Environmental Writing; Medical Writing; Financial Writing; Technical Writing; Organizational Storytelling; Promotional Writing; Non-Profit and Policy Communications; and Grant Writing

Earning the MS in Translation, offered by the NYU School of Professional Studies Center for Applied Liberal Arts can prepare you for the challenges and the opportunities in translation and cultural communication that lie ahead.

Program Features:
- 36 credits, available in full-time or part-time study
- Offered fully online in French into English, Spanish into English, and English into Spanish, and offered onsite in New York City in Chinese into English
- Provides in-depth studies in translation and terminology in addition to rigorous practical training with a focus on legal and financial texts and the use of translation technologies
- Electives designed to introduce career paths and meet industry needs, including software and website localization, translation for new media, interpreting, and editing / publishing

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM Summer Publishing Institute Virtual Info Session
Center for Publishing is pleased to invite you to participate in an online information session about the Summer Publishing Institute. Our renowned, six-week summer program from June 3rd - July 19th, 2019, is developed specifically for recent college graduates and rising college seniors who are interested in careers in book, magazine, and digital media publishing industries.  SPI annually features more than 150 leading industry executives who serve as faculty members and guest speakers. Students attend lectures and workshops that explore key publishing issues; visit some of the top book, magazine, and digital publishing headquarters; and participate in a career fair and other job-related activities. SPI awards six graduate credits to those who successfully complete the program. These credits may be applied to the MS in Publishing: Digital and Print Media or to an advanced degree at another institution of higher education where the credits are deemed acceptable. Students may choose to apply to and attend both programs and enter the graduate program in the fall with six credits of advanced standing.

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM MS in Publishing: Digital and Print Media Online Information Session
This two-year degree program provides students with a practical foundation in book publishing and magazine media, including a strong focus on digital. Through a combination of classroom learning taught by esteemed industry professionals, and hands-on computer laboratory study of key digital platforms and social media, the MS in Publishing helps students to master the skills required for success in today's publishing workplace. Classes are held in the evening to support students working in the industry or gaining internship experience. Global opportunities to volunteer at conferences and book fairs in London, Frankfurt, Beijing, and Bologna; industry visits; and networking events ensure that students have access to every aspect of the world of publishing.
