Event Description The NYU-SCPS Culture Club will be hosting McGhee Alum Kat Chua’s play Undocumented. This play highlights the experience of an undocumented person coming to terms with her status and has two off-Broadway runs under its belt. It is based off of Chua’s senior project at McGhee. After the play, Chua (the writer and producer) and the cast will speak about it as well as Sonia Guinansaca from the New York State Youth Leadership Council (NYSYLC). NYSYLC is a non-profit organization that counsels and provides legal aid to undocumented students in the state.
The Asian American Theatre Alliance at NYU is co-hosting this event. It will be held at the Silver Building in Room 714. No RSVP is necessary.
